Amanda Smith grew up in Yorkshire. She trained in theatre dance for most of her life, opening her own dancing school and exploring her creativity in theatrical productions. She later gained a degree in education and spent her time in primary schools getting to know the kind of fiction her pupils loved. The stories she told her own children reflected experiences from her childhood, and they often listened to and treasured the stories she created. She is now delighted to be able to share the stories with her readers.
