Valerie Aikman-Smith is a California-based food stylist and writer. She worked in top restaurants, such as the legendary Alice Waters Berkeley eatery, Chez Panisse, before going on to style food for films such as Titanic and Ocean's Eleven and for Food Network TV. Her editorial work includes international assignments for Bon Appetit and many cookbooks, commercials, print and advertising campaigns. She is the author of Salt & Pepper, Smoke & Spice, and Pickled & Packed for Ryland Peters & Small.
