Alexis Goertz. is an herbalist, beekeeper, and lifelong learner who runs Edible Alchemy, a global fermentation education platform based in Berlin, Germany. Alexis leads regular workshops and events that celebrate the art and science of fermentation. Guided by her philosophy that education is best paired with entertainment, she brings playfulness and inquisitiveness into every learning experience. Traveling with her Microbial Circus, she explores traditional fermentation techniques around the world, collecting and sharing living cultures and the stories they hold to inspire connections between people, place, and microbes.
