Amanda Glynn Hecker is a retired cabinetmaker, high school technology teacher, and track & field coach. Upon her retirement in 2014, Amanda established the consulting firm Diversity, Training and Education. Her goal is to use education to help assuage the fear and misinformation regarding the transgender community. She is a founding and current board member of the Eastern PA Trans Equity Project and enjoys writing, yoga, and model railroading. Amanda, her wife, Debby, and dog, Cooper, also enjoy camping, traveling, and lounging on the beach.
