Amos N. Guiora is a professor (lecturer) at theS. J. Quinney College of Law, University of Utah, where he directs the BystanderInitiative. His scholarship focuses on the question of bystanders and enablers. His books include The Crime of Complicity: The Bystander inthe Holocaust. and Armies of Enablers: Survivor Storiesof Complicity and Betrayal in Sexual Assaults. (American BarAssociation). The University of Utah has honored Guiora for hiswork on enablers and bystanders and, in 2026, he was named a University of UtahPresidential Societal Impact Scholar. Guiora has an A. B. from Kenyon College, aJ. D. from Case Western Reserve University School of Law, and a Ph. D. fromLeiden University.
