Andy Martin grew up in Malawi among the Yao, where the landscape and the ancestral traditions of the people around him taught what no classroom could. A naturalist from childhood, his working life took him across five continents, from the rainforests of Borneo to the frozen Ob in Siberia, with twenty-two years in the Scottish Cairngorms. He trained as a clinical hypnotherapist, and later built classical and flamenco guitars by hand in Andalusia. He is the author of The Path series: The Earth Remembers: A Birthright Rediscovered, which tells the story whole, and two poetry collections, The Ascending Path and The Living Path, which distil the same lived experience into verse. He lives in Devon and writes about presence, awakening, and our non-separation from the living world.
