Deeply connected to the sea since childhood, Annalisa Colombara s work reflects her ongoing fascination with and appreciation for intricate aquatic landscapes, and her desire to preserve them for future generations. Through her work Colombara seeks to emphasise the devastating effects pollution can have on marine ecosystems and our will to restore life to the sea. The sea is the beginning of life, said Colombara. The sea is in us, is part of us. We have a responsibility to it and we need to pass on this respect, for the sea, and nature, to our children.
