Anurag Khatiwara lives in Sikkim, India, and works as a banker by profession. He grew up listening to Nepalese and Himalayan folklore and was always fascinated by the stories. Since a lot of these stories have been passed on through oral tradition, he couldn't find sufficient written material for these stories that can be made available to children who are now growing up with the internet and with tons of digital content from all over the world. Hence for a long time, he had wanted to document some of these oral stories so that they reach a wider audience. Through this illustrated book, he hopes to introduce younger readers to the cultural richness of Himalayan folklore.
