He has reported from over 50 countries for BBC Radio 4, The World Service, The Telegraph, Times, Guardian, Condé Nast Traveller, and many more, and he appears as a travel expert on BBC One’s Morning Live and Sky News. He is a member of the British Guild of Travel Writers, a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society, and has judged both the Wainwright Prize for Nature Writing, and the Edward Stanford Travel Writing Award.
