Bernie Zilbergeld (1939–2002) was the author of The New Male Sexuality. He received his PhD in clinical psychology from the University of California, Berkeley, and was the head of the Men’s Program and co-director of clinical training at the Human Sexuality Program, University of California, San Francisco.
