Jerry Bonmer is a retired police chief and current county park ranger based in Pennsylvania. Drawing from years of experience in public service and time spent working in natural environments, he brings a grounded, observational voice to his writing. His work often reflects themes of nature, stewardship, and quiet lessons learned from the outdoors. He is the creator of the Murphy and the Magic Wild series, a children's collection developed under the imprint Quinne & Co. Press, which blends storytelling with gentle environmental wisdom for young readers. When not writing, he can often be found outdoors with his wife, Colleen, and their Sheepadoodle, Quinne, who frequently inspires character moments and field-inspired details in his work.
