As the author of several books about 21st century learning, blogger who often writes about education trends, and consultant who has worked with schools around the globe to introduce student-centered practices, I am well positioned to tackle this project. As a long-time blogger for Edutopia. , I write regularly about PBL and other education trends. In addition, I have written a series of Edutopia. guides that introduce some of the issues that I plan to explore in more detail in this new book. One of the most popular is A Parent's Guide to 21st Century Learning. School leaders Ive consulted with (in the U. S. and abroad) have told me that its been helpful for framing parent conversations about school change. My work includes frequent consulting with schools interested in shifting to more student-centered learning. This has taken me to locations across the United States and around the world in the past few years, including India, Brazil, Turkey, Switzerland, Italy, Mexico, and China. Across diverse settings, I hear similar questions as schools navigate the process of change with their stakeholders. This book will draw on insights and examples I have gathered from the field, helping educators realize that they have a world of allies engaged in similar work on behalf of today's students, tomorrow's citizens.
