Carson Stanton, a 21-year-old Florida native, was raised in Tampa by her parents. At the age of twelve, her father passed away, leaving her to be raised by a single mother who makes a living as a middle school teacher. In school, Stanton always gravitated towards English and reading, her love for stories started at an early age. Paw Print Puppy originated as an assignment she wrote when in second grade. And uses writing as a voice to prove she is as mentally capable as anyone else even though she is wheelchair-bound because she has cerebral palsy.
