Charles Lee is a retired hardware systems engineer and former technology entrepreneur with a background in telecommunications, data storage, and server systems. After a cancer diagnosis altered the course of his career, he began exploring what modern AI could do for an independent builder with no modern coding background. That exploration became a 2,000-hour field project: building KoraUS, a live civic social platform developed with extensive LLM assistance. Working from the trenches of a real software build, Lee learned how powerful AI can be - and how easily it can drift, assume, hallucinate, and create architectural problems when not actively managed. He writes from the perspective of a practical systems thinker who values engineering reality over AI hype. His work focuses on KoraUS, user-owned digital platforms, and helping independent builders understand the real management discipline required to work with AI.
