Chris Gallagher was born in Pomona, California, with multiple birth defects, including Arthrogryposis Multiplex Congenita (AMC), and required life-saving surgery as an infant. Growing up in Chino, he adapted to everyday tasks using his feet. He has spent over two decades in education and was named Teacher of the Year in San Juan Capistrano in 2004. In 2015, he was ordained as a Lutheran pastor and has since served in various pastoral and teaching roles. Chris is married to his wife Alice and has three children and one grandson.
