My name is Douglas. After my mother passed away, I made a life-changing commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ, which brought me clarity, purpose, and a clear calling to serve His people. It is the Lord Jesus Christ who called this ministry into being, and it is to His glory alone that I press forward. I am a lifelong resident of the Kansas City metropolitan area and the proud father of an adult daughter, Elisabeth. My journey has included both significant challenges and profound joys, and I remain prayerful for reconciliation within my family. I also continue to serve as a professional vocalist and pianist with a professional choir, Musica Vocale. To better equip myself for the work Christ has called me to, I hold a Bachelor of Music Education and Piano Performance from Baker University and a Master of Arts in Choral Conducting from the University of Missouri-Kansas City Conservatory of Music and Dance. I have also completed a Master's in Theological Studies from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and am currently pursuing a Master of Theology (ThM) at Dallas Theological Seminary, with plans to continue my studies for a Doctor of Education in ministry-all in pursuit of a deeper understanding of the Word that sharpens this ministry. I look forward to sharing in this calling together with my wife, Patty.
