Douglas Swiatecki is the founder of the Toledo Jazz Newsletter. , a leading source of information on the city's jazz performances, history, and musicians. A graduate of Toledo's Central Catholic High School and the University of Toledo, he has spent years researching the region's overlooked contributions to American jazz history. Through extensive archival research and personal connections with musicians, historians, and members of the Art Tatum family, Swiatecki uncovered a rich and largely untold story about Toledo's role in shaping the early jazz era.
