Elliot Hannay. is an author and journalist. A former editor of the Townsville Bulletin, Elliot also worked with ABC news and as a freelance foreign correspondent for AAP. He was one of six Australian journalists selected by the Department of Foreign Affairs for China's first exchange with journalists from a Western nation. His memoir The Colt With No Regrets (2021) was his first book. He also co-wrote Conversations with Katter (2018) with long-serving federal politician Bob Katter. Elliot lives with his award-winning novelist wife, Barbara Hannay, in tropical North Queensland.
