Emma Guess is a Fashion Design graduate who was taught to crochet by her mother and has been hooked ever since. Since picking up the hook, she has constantly pushed the craft to see how far she can take it. She strives to challenge stuffy misconceptions about the craft and make modern and quirky crochet designs that will not only appeal to current crocheters, but also bring in new people to the craft. In 2016 she set up a blog (www. sylviamargaret. co. uk) and Instagram page (@sylviamargaretdesigns) to share her creative ideas. This has been growing in popularity and her online presence has also led to magazine pattern commissions for Crochet Now and Simply Crochet magazines.
