Frances McNamara grew up in Boston, where her father served as Police Commissioner. She is the author of the Nutshell Murder Mystery series featuring "Mother of Forensic Science" Frances Glessner Lee. Book 4 is Unpapered Bedroom Murder in a Nutshell July 2026. Death at the Chicago Trust is book 10 of Emily Cabot Mysteries, and Murder at St. Hilaire book 1 of a new series featuring retired Boston police officer, Lucy O'Donnell. She is retired from University of Chicago Library and lives in Boston.
