Hak-Ryul Kim is a devoted lay Christian and a retired professor of food biotechnology at Kyungpook National University in Daegu, Korea. He has been a Presbyterian for more than thirty-five years. He is the author of Korean editions of Gospel of Laity (2022) and Be a Christian (2023).
