Helena Marsters. writes character-driven crime fiction set along the English coast. She has a soft spot for small towns where everyone knows everyone and almost nobody says what they actually mean - which turns out to be excellent material for a mystery writer. The Shape at the Tide Line. is her debut novel, the first in the Mel Kessler Mysteries - a series about cold cases, small communities, and the things people agree not to say out loud. She's currently at work on Book Two. She lives in the south of England, drinks more tea than is strictly reasonable, and has not yet made up her mind about haunted paintings.
