Hussin Khan is an Unreal Authorized Instructor (UAI) and real-time production educator with over a decade of experience in professional training. He previously served as the Head of Education at Rhythm & Hues, the Academy Award-winning visual effects studio behind Life of Pi (2012), and has contributed to productions such as 2036 Origin Unknown (2018) and RIFT by HaZimation, an animated film created entirely in Unreal Engine. Hussin leads EFXCO Academy in Malaysia, where he delivers professional training and certification programs in graphics and motion design, virtual production, virtual reality, visual effects, and real-time production workflows. He is also a certified instructor for Foundry Nuke and Unity. Unreal Engine 5 VFX Cookbook is Hussin's second book with Packt. His first book, Virtual Filmmaking with Unreal Engine 5, is also available and focuses on using Unreal Engine for real-time cinematic storytelling and virtual filmmaking. With a background that bridges education, visual effects, animation, and real-time technology, Hussin is passionate about helping artists, educators, and studios adopt Unreal Engine as part of modern media and entertainment pipelines.
