(Oxford: Oxford University Press, 2006) won the Gladstone Prize of the Royal Historical Society in 2006. Professor Evelyn Welch. (Queen Mary, University of London) is a specialist in Renaissance and Early Modern material culture. Her book Shopping in the Renaissance. (New Haven: Yale University Press, 2005) was joint winner of the Wolfson Prize in 2005.
