Jeff Janoda has been writing historical fiction for over twenty-five years. His first novel, Saga: A Novel of Medieval Iceland has been described as perfect example of how to turn a saga into a novel (Times Literary Supplement). He has also written Sundog, a gripping novel that tells the story of the air war on the Eastern Front in WWII. His inspiration for Season of Life was his lifelong interest in the American Civil War, in all its aspects, and the way it shaped the modern United States. He is a retired teacher. Janoda lives in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, with his wife, Susan and their dog, Tulip.
