Joanne Silberner. is a writer and multimedia reporter. Her interest in health and medical stories started early on with degrees in biology and journalism from Johns Hopkins University and Columbia University. She's won numerous awards, including the Victor Cohn Prize and the National Academies/Keck Communication Award. Her work has appeared on public radio and in the New York Times, the Washington Post, Scientific American, Politico, STAT, and other publications, and she spent 18 years as health policy correspondent at NPR. This is her first book.
