John David Thomas White was born and bred in Belfast and grew up in the Short Strand area in of the city during The Troubles. A lifelong Manchester United fan, John has written 17 books about his beloved club including The Offi cial Manchester United Quiz Book and The Official Manchester United Book of Lists. hE is also the author of The RMS Titanic Miscellany, a book written in memory of his late father who worked in the famous Harland & Wolff Shipyard where the most famous ocean liner in the world was built. John always wanted to write an account of his life and in this book he is quite open about his upbringing and shares with the reader many tales of his childhood and explains how he fell in love with Manchester United and how he came to become friends with the most famous football manager in the world, Sir Alex Ferguson. The author of over 50 books, John lives in Carryduff, County Down, with his wife, Janice and their two sons Marc & Paul.
