Judy Stewart (nee Dubeau) moved from Lost Nation, near Knowlton, Quebec, to Alberta in 1974. An elementary school teacher before becoming a lawyer, in 2020 she retired from practicing law in Alberta. Her practice focused on emergent legal issues at the nexusof water and municipal law. Judy lives in Cochrane, Alberta, her home for over 46 years, where she once served as a councillor and mayor. She has two grown children and two grandsons.
