Keith Turner is an award-winning journalist, editor and longtime automotive writer whose career has spanned newspapers, magazines, digital media and online video. As an editor on a Pulitzer Prize-winning newspaper team, he developed a storytelling style rooted in authenticity, humor and emotional honesty. Over more than three decades, Turner has reviewed hundreds of vehicles and traveled extensively on automotive press trips, experiencing a world of luxury hotels, free cars and exclusive events while often navigating the financial uncertainty of everyday life. That contradiction became the inspiration for his memoir, Broke with Benefits. In addition to his journalism career, Turner worked on the 2012 Obama presidential campaign and later launched Turner Bookkeeping, helping small businesses better understand their finances and grow with confidence. Known for blending humor, vulnerability and relatable storytelling, Turner writes about family, identity, resilience and the complicated space between outward success and private struggle. He lives in Northern California and continues producing automotive content and writing about the unexpected roads life can take.
