Lana Bastasic. is a Yugoslav-born writer. Her first novel, Catch the Rabbit. , won the European Union Prize in Literature and the International Latisana Prize in Italy. The book was shortlisted for the Dutch European Award and has been translated into more than twenty languages. Her work is included in The Penguin Book of the International Short Story 2026. Bastasic is one of the founders of Escola Bloom literary school in Barcelona. She lives in Trieste, Italy.
