Lise Sullivan Ode is the creator of Mom Loves Baking, a popular dessert blog she launched in 2013. A lifelong baker, she is a two-time national finalist in the Pillsbury Bake-Off Contest. Her recipes and writing have been featured in national media, including Country Living (Almond Joy Thumbprint Cookies), The Huffington Post (Best Ever Chocolate Frosting), Parade (Christmas Monster Cookies), and Buzzfeed (Jackson Pollock Pinata Cake). She has baked and shared recipes on local television in Atlanta and in Clearwater, Florida, where she lives with her family. She holds a Master Cake Decorating Certificate from the Wilton School of Cake Decorating in Chicago and previously ran a custom wedding cake business—earning the title Best Wedding Cakes from The Knot magazine. As a former graphic artist turned self-taught baker, she combines a love for visual storytelling with nostalgic, crowd-pleasing desserts that are as fun to make as they are to eat.
