Marija Katalinić, born in 1985, is a researcher in memory, cinema and visual culture and gender. Holding academic degrees in cultural and visual studies, as well as in journalism, her investigative focus as a curator, moderator and scholar lies specifically in documentary filmmaking. She also worked as a cultural manager of European projects and as co-director of the International Association of Visual Culture (IAVC). Understanding and impacting how culture is distributed and experienced drives her interest to bring democratic values forward through theory and practice.
