Born and raised in Guyana, South America, Maxine Elm migrated to the United States at the age of 20 and now resides in Georgia. A Registered Nurse with a Master's of Science in Nursing Education and a Doctorate of Nursing Practice in HealthCare Leadership, Maxine has taught nursing for many years as a didactic and clinical professor. Living with her husband Michael and daughter Makayla, she enjoys traveling and experiencing diverse cultures. Inspired to share her story, she hopes her book will offer hope and inspiration to those facing similar challenges, helping them find strength and resilience.
