Michael is an entrepreneur, former CEO, and independent researcher with a rare combination of real-world leadership experience and advanced academic training. He holds two Master's degrees - one from the University of Southern California in Systems Management and the other in Computer Science with an emphasis in Software Design and Engineering - along with a BBA focused on government contracting. Enlisting in the US Navy in 1979, he became a member of the UDT/SEAL Teams serving active duty, reserves, and as a civilian contractor in support of the NAVSPECWAR community until 2011, excluding a March 2006-Feb 2007 deployment to Baghdad, Iraq, where he provided private security support to KBR Corporate. These experiences profoundly shaped his understanding of leadership under pressure, institutional accountability, and the human cost of flawed policy decisions. After his military service, Michael built and led technology and defense-related companies, managing complex government contract sand mission-critical software systems. His career has given him an insider's view of how large institutions function - and how they fail.
