Mukti Barton is Indian, Bengali, British, an Honorary Research Fellow at The Queen's Foundation for Ecumenical Theological Education and a Lay Canon of Birmingham Cathedral. Previously, she worked as the Bishop's Adviser for Black and Asian Ministries in the Diocese of Birmingham and as a lecturer at The Queen's Foundation, teaching Black and Asian Theology and the Bible for liberation, justice and peace. In 2021 she was honoured as a Racial Justice Champion by Churches Together in Britain and Ireland.
