Robert Nelson. is Principal Honorary Fellow at Melbourne University, Australia. He trained in art history at La Trobe University with an MA in Baroque art and a PhD in Hellenistic art. Robert taught in Art, Design and Architecture at Monash University in Australia, where he became Associate Dean, Research and Graduate Studies. His most recent scholarly books are A History of Inspiration. (2022) and A Visceral History of Bread: From First-Nations Australia to Byzantium, Museum of Innocence. (2023). Robert was an art critic for The Age. and the scene painter for Polixeni Papapetrou.
