Dr P. Mary Vidya Porselvi is an academician, researcher and poet. With a penchant for ecological motifs and patterns, she has authored research works titled 'Bhoomi Tales' (2014), 'Nature's Voices, Women's Voices' (2015), 'Nature, Culture and Gender: Rereading the Folktale' (Routledge, 2016) and 'Environmental Humanities in Folktales: Theory and Practice' (Routledge, 2023). As a Fulbright recipient for the year 2019-2020, she visited the Department of Asian Studies, University of Texas at Austin, U. S. A. She likes to read and pen poetry with nature at the core and has recently published poetry collections titled 'Gaianjali' (2023), 'Kalpavriksham' (2024) and 'Unfading Rhapsodies' (2025).
