Pamela Noonan has been writing from a very young age. She is the youngest girl in a loving family of eight children, with two younger brothers, and she recalls her childhood in a two-bedroom Dublin house as nothing short of magical. Her weekends were filled with music, the simple joy of her mother's cooking, and the peace of helping in the garden-her mother's great love. She fondly remembers listening to her father's stories by the open fire and the soft sound of her mother's singing. Summer was a time for rambling picnics, walks, the beach, bike rides, and peaceful moments sitting beside an open fire. After writing stories and poems throughout her life, Pamela, now in her late 50s, decided to send them to a publisher. To her great surprise, Austin Macauley Publishers loved her work.
