Autor/-in: Peter Woollen

Peter Woollen taught social studies for thirty-five years in a politically and religiously conservative suburb of Minneapolis. Throughout his career, he engaged daily with questions of society, politics, and history, which have been his lifelong passions. His experience in a community where faith and civic life were closely connected gave him a unique perspective on the tensions between Christianity and American public life, the focus of this book. As a careful observer of how religion, politics, and identity influence society, Woollen draws on his extensive experience, thorough research, and intellectual curiosity to address one of the most pressing issues facing American democracy today.
