School of Criminal Justice, University of Lausanne, Switzerland Raymond Marquis obtained his PhD degree in Forensic Sciences in the School of Criminal Justice of the University of Lausanne (Switzerland). His PhD thesis has contributed to validating the fundamentals of the discipline of forensic handwriting examination through the analysis of character shape. Raymond is working as a practicing forensic scientist at the School of Criminal Justice since 2004, in the document examination section, for civil, penal and private cases. He is also a researcher in the field of handwriting examination. He has authored and coauthored several publications in this area. His professional interests are focused on the logical approach for evidence assessment and its application in handwriting examination, in respect with both implementation and communication in written or oral statements. He is a member of the European Network of Forensic Handwriting Experts (ENFHEX).
