Satya Brata Das. is an influential global strategist, adviser, writer, and storyteller. He has used his skills in policy, diplomacy, strategy, and advocacy to push sustainability, meet the climate challenge, and fund inclusive societal development. Das has participated in many of the world's>Das was one of the first Canadian journalists of colour who overcame systemic racist barriers to rise to the top of the profession. In 1975, he became the first person of colour in the Press Gallery of the Alberta legislature. He was Canada's first editorialist, foreign correspondent, and>Das serves on several boards of directors-private, public, and philanthropic ventures-that all contribute to the common good. He's a member of the audit committee the Canadian Heritage Department, which promotes Canadian values, heritage, culture, and pluralistic identity. His mission is to pursue human rights as a way of life, where people of all origins live together with dignity, in community, and enjoying freedom from fear and want, in harmony with one another and with the natural world. Das is the author of his 2019 memoir, Us. He lives in Edmonton, Alberta, where he and his life partner, Mita, raised two daughters and enjoy the company of their grandchildren.
