S.M. Ascough describes himself as 'Just an ordinary working man, but with the imagination of a child'. He takes pleasure in the simple things in life such as gardening with his wife or enjoying a trip into the countryside with his family. Putting his imagination to work, he wanted to write stories with a moral and a message that would make the reader stop and think.
