Stephanie Best was born in Preston in Lancashire. Things were tight money-wise, but they never went without. At five, she started school, which she hated, but after a month or so, she settled down and ended up loving school. At fifteen, she left school and joined the civil service and had lots of friends. At seventeen, she and her best friend went dancing every Saturday night. She met Keith there, and eleven months later, they were married, and so her life of trials and tribulations began.
