Parker is a writer from the American South whose poetry spans two decades of searching, finding, and falling in love - and yes, losing it too. By trade and by calling he has been many things - a firefighter, a defense technologist and leader, a craftsman and instructor, a gardener - a man more often found with his hands in wood or soil than with a pen. But across his twenties, thirties, and forties, he wrote quietly and honestly about the one subject that refused to leave him alone: Love. These poems were written for real loves in real moments - loves found, loves lost, loves that taught him something he couldn't yet name. What surprised him, years later, was how much they had outlived their origins.
