Autor/-in: Val Owen

Val Owen was born in England in 1942. She studied at Liverpool University and was awarded a Ph. D in plant biochemistry in the late 1960s. She subsequently moved to Canada and worked in the medical laboratory sector. Returning to the UK in 1980 she did research into biosensors before getting involved in technology transfer, getting research ideas out into commercial products. Since retirement she has lived on the north coast of Anglesey where she is an active member of the Copper Writers group.
