He is Visiting Professor of Entrepreneurship (The Lisbon MBA with MIT Sloan) and an honorary professor at the Alliance Manchester Business School. He has built businesses in diverse sectors aroud the world, is a consultant and advisor to numerous entrepreneurs and organizations globally, and is a regular columnist for British Airways Business Life. magazine. He is Chair of the international NGO In Place of War and a trustee of Mustard Tree. Shah is an advisor to the British Council, a member of the UK government's Industrial Development Advisory Board (IDAB), and was awarded an MBE in 2017 for services to business and the economy.
