Yusuf Kalyango Jr. is Director of the Institute for International Journalism at Ohio University. He also heads the U.S. government-funded Study of the U.S. Institute (SUSI) on Journalism & Media at Ohio University. He joined the university in 2008 as Assistant Professor of Journalism in the E. W. Scripps School of Journalism, and earned his doctorate in journalism and political communication at the University of Missouri. He has published several peer-reviewed journal articles and academic book chapters, and has won several research conference paper awards at the Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication (AEJMC) and at the International Communication Association (ICA).
