Beschreibung
Can you trade a mere body for a people. Brynhild Von Meiser hopes so when pirates raid Meiser Port, the jewel of Wolfsburg's fief and her life's work, forcing the Wolfsburg family to consider their defenses. Eric Von Wolfsburg simply does not have the knights to protect his daughter's port, the main road of Augston, and his four castles, and her port fees are no help without weapons. Then Duke Ivan of Freater proposes a deal that Eric finds tempting: a dowry for an heir and an army. It's a difficult decision. Brynhild's heart belongs to Marshal Karl, but Karl can't provide the army that her people need. Ultimately, Meiser port is her soul and Karl's calling. She agrees to marry Duke Ivan, but the duke is not as helpful as he promises. So, the lovers start a project to give Meiser the security it desperately needs with the hope that Ivan will unwittingly cooperate. Can their plan work when the bandits threatening Meiser may have hidden backers. Can you buy a future free of chaos for a whole fief with one body.
