Tiago de Oliveira studied Mathematics at the Universities of Luanda, Lisbon, and Marseille. He has always worked in teams: at the University of Luanda (with David Gagean), the Gulbenkian Institute of Science (Carlos de Jesus), the University of Aveiro (David Vieira), FCSH (Nguyen Van Minh, Dias Barbosa, Joaquim Perez, Graça Simões), at PARTEX-CPS (António Ribeiro), the University of Évora (Franco de Oliveira, José Mascarenhas, Fernando Ferreira, Telma Santos, Bal Chandra Luitel), the Higher Institute of Education of Cape Verde (Jorge Brito, Paulino Fortes, Carlos Bellino, Ana Semedo), and the National University of Timor-Leste (Lino Verdial, Zulmira Ximenes, Marde Guilhermina Marcal). He prefers cooperation, teaching, and publishing to research. He has taught in the courses of Social Communication, Sociology, Anthropology, Philosophy, Architecture, and Human Ecology;. but also disciplines such as History of Mathematical Thought, Logic and Foundations, and Geometry. The focus of his research is the 20th century. In this context, he wrote the biography and initiated the publication of the Works of J. Tiago de Oliveira (1 3 volumes). He has been investigating the life and work of Escher, Borges, Lima de Freitas, and A. Gião. He has written about the Orient, cosmology, infinity, catastrophes, fractals, and quaternions. In July 2024, he was awarded Honoris Causa Doctor of Science RKDF University, Bhopal, India. Coordinator Eramus Mundus Mobility with Asia EMMA WEST 2013 with Professor Maryam Rab, Fatima Jinnah Women Universiti, Rawalpindi, Pakistan.
