Beschreibung
My name is Dwayne Taylor, and until six months ago, I considered myself a good person, a good father, a hard worker, and just a boring graphic designer. I believed I cared about other people. My biggest misconception, however, was believing that other people cared about others, too. Today, I'm waiting to be escorted into a prison interview room to formally meet a rapist and murderer who has consumed my thoughts for the past six months. He's in my veins, lingering behind my eyes every time I blink. Six months have passed, and he's all I can think about. How did it come to this. I'm a graphic designer, a father, and I was once a loving husband and an assistant coach for a girls' volleyball team. I pay my taxes, go to church at least once a month, and call my mom every Saturday. Now, I'm about to sit down with a killer, and what I'm about to do will shock everyone. How did it come to this. What could I have done to change it. -- PRAISE FOR BEFORE THEY WERE MONSTERS. "This is one of those books you simply can't stop reading. Pete Fleck knows how to weave an incredible story world with characters you never forget. What I love most about his books is that there's always a poignant redemption element, and even in this at times horrifying thriller, he's giving us another incredible story of redemption. Truly an outstanding book. "-D. D. Scott, International Bestselling Author.
